About the event
Please join Vanessa Sorenson for a presentation on her book called Zen Birds. Zen Birds illustrates 30 species of North American birds in a style inspired by traditional Asian brushwork and Haiku poetry. With each illustration is a short poem that describe the traits and habits peculiar to each species. Vanessa will share her art and discuss how nature inspires her creativity. Vanessa Sorensen is a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, printmaker, and author. She has a Master’s degree in zoology and a profound love of animals. She has written and illustrated several books including Zen Kitty, Zen Birds, Birding Journal, and You're Joking (animal humor for children).
